Sonya Pyles

Sonya, a mother of two, struggled with addiction for many years but did not receive the treatment she needed. In 2013, she was facing 20 years in prison for charges of petit larceny and drug possession because she had prior nonviolent offenses. Sonya got a second chance when she qualified for a diversion program that provided rehabilitative and job training services. Sonya graduated from the program five years ago, and today is reconnected with her family and working as a project manager in Tulsa.
